SNAP (Special Needs in the Park)

Image: Natalie trampolining SNAPSNAP is a fun, social club for children and young people with special needs to make friends and learn new skills.

Led by Melissa Coyle, Elaine Lightfoot and Vicki Pritchard, children and young people meet every Thursday, 6.45-8.15pm, to enjoy music, dance, gymnastics, trampolining, and develop throwing, catching and other fundamental movement skills through games and other sports. British NDP titles for OCRA Flyers

image: NDP Finals 2018OCRA Flyers trampolinists have secured two British NDP titles at the individual trampoline, DMT and tumbling NDP finals, held at the Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham.

Owen Pitman and Imogen Spooncer qualified for the national NDP finals at the regional team finals, a national event held at the Birmingham Arena in June, where Owen secured two individual gold medals in trampoline and double mini trampoline, and Imogen won a bronze medal in DMT. Summer Trampolining – 2018

Summer trampoline training will run through July and August:  £6 per session, maximum number 10 participants per session. These sessions are invitation-only.

Please note this is not part of the main Summer activities programme and there is no entitlement to a free child’s pass to Okehampton Show.

OCRA gymnasts show off some skills!

Super Sporting Sunday 2018 adult DMTOCRA Gym, Trampoline & DMT Club took trampolines and a track into Simmons Park for Super Sporting Sunday to show the public some of the skills they have been learning at the club.

Super Sporting Sunday is a fun day with a variety of free activities on offer for the public to try, and is the last day of OCRA’s Sport & Fitness Festival, a week of sporting activity for all. Continue reading OCRA gymnasts show off some skills!

OCRA Adult Gym and Trampoline tonight

Come along to OCRA Adult Gym and Trampoline tonight for a fun way of keeping fit!

With new equipment funded by Sport England.

Beginners welcome.

Every Thursday during term time, 8.30-9.30pm, in the Okehampton College Gym. Only £4 per session.

If your child has already done gymnastics or trampolining or taught themselves, please give more information below, e.g. skills that they have already achieved. We may ask them to trial for a more advanced session.

If your child has a disability, please fill in details below. This information will help us ensure that, when your child gets a place, we can plan adequately for their needs.

Please be advised that, for safety reasons, it is recommended that people with achondroplasia (dwarfism), detached retina and Rodd’s back do not participate in gymnastics and trampolining. All children with Down’s Syndrome need to have an Atlanto-Axial form signed by a doctor BEFORE going on the waiting list. Please see the form and information pack
