Super Sports Sunday is Festival Finale in Simmons Park

Image: OCRA Super Sports Sunday 2018Over 800 people came to try a variety of sports and activities at OCRA’s annual Super Sports Sunday in Simmons Park (Sunday 22 July).

Activity Alliance (formerly EFDS) has developed 10 principles that can help sport providers to deliver more appealing and inclusive opportunities for disabled people. British NDP titles for OCRA Flyers

image: NDP Finals 2018OCRA Flyers trampolinists have secured two British NDP titles at the individual trampoline, DMT and tumbling NDP finals, held at the Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham.

Owen Pitman and Imogen Spooncer qualified for the national NDP finals at the regional team finals, a national event held at the Birmingham Arena in June, where Owen secured two individual gold medals in trampoline and double mini trampoline, and Imogen won a bronze medal in DMT. OCRA Gymnasts Take Youth Games Title

West Devon team 2018 gold medalOCRA gymnasts, representing West Devon, won team gold at the South West Rotary Youth Games in Dawlish in July.

A fantastic performance by young people from all over West Devon aged 6-16 years who have been part of local “Get Into” sessions in 12 different sports.

Multi-skills fiesta but no siesta for primary pupils

Image: Foundation and Year 1 Multiskills, Whitchurch 2018Five hundred foundation and year one children from local primary schools took part in multi-skills sessions at Whitchurch Wayfarers Cricket Club, over two days in beautiful sunshine.

Organised by OCRA, different taster sessions in various sports and activities were delivered by local coaches and young leaders. Athletics, fencing, cricket, rugby, badminton, obstacle courses, mini martial arts, parachute games, football, dancing to World Cup football songs and Zumba kept the children moving.
