Tavistock Area Schools Annual Swimming Gala 2019

Meadowlands Swimming Pool and Tavistock Swimming Club hosted the annual Tavistock Primary Schools Swimming gala on Friday 8^th February.

A record 16 teams from 10 schools took part, which made for a very loud and successful afternoon.

4 schools competed for the small schools trophies. Results were:

1^st Lady Modiford’s at Walkhampton – 37 points
2^nd Milton Abbot – 34 points
3^rd Mary Tavy & Brentor – 31 points
4^th Lamerton – 28 points

Horrabridge, Tavistock, Whitchurch, Bere Alston, St Peter’s and St Andrew’s all entered 2 teams with the top 6 being:

1^st Horrabridge A – 131 points
2^nd St Andrew’s A  – 130 points
3^rd Tavistock A  – 118 points
4^th St Peter’s A  – 117 points
5^th Whitchurch – 112 points
6^th Bere Alston – 93 points.

Bere Alston team members were so vocal, cheering on their team mates at the top of their voices, so they were awarded the Fair Play trophy.
