An exciting opportunity to work with OCRA to maintain and develop sporting and recreational opportunities for Okehampton and the surrounding areas.

As Sports and Recreation Manager you would be responsible for delivering the charity outcomes in health, activity, sport, art and wellbeing. Working alongside the existing OCRA team you would manage and mentor staff, build relationships with local clubs, organisations and groups, manage the charity’s resources and budgets, identify new opportunities and develop diverse programmes of sport and recreation.

Experience of previous charity sector work would be advantageous along with supervisory/management experience and knowledge of promoting projects and services.

Graduate degree or similar qualification preferred, but not essential; with favourable consideration of sports science, community studies or business studies.
