Over 800 people came to try a variety of sports and activities at OCRA’s annual Super Sports Sunday in Simmons Park (Sunday 22 July).
OCRA, in partnership with Fusion’s Parklands Leisure Centre, with Okehampton Hockey, Cycling and Running clubs, plus Tavyside Badminton, offered more than 20 have-a-go tasters and competitions throughout the day.
Stuart Lord, OCRA manager, said: ‘It was great to see families and people of all ages being active together, trying new sports, having fun and enjoying the sunshine. Thanks to clubs and individuals, Fusion, Devon County Council, Okehampton Town and Hamlets Councils, Co-op, Okehampton United Charities and local business for their support. If clubs or individuals would like to add or help with next year’s Active Okehampton event, please contact us.’
