OCRA, working with England Badminton, hosted the prestigious The Centre Parcs Schools Badminton with over 140 participants from across Devon yesterday.
The standard of play was very high as keenness and clear enjoyment of playing.
Going forward to represent Devon at the SW Event are Churston Grammar (Girls KS3) Kings School (Boys KS3) Queen Elizabeth (Girls KS4) and Newton Abbot (Boys KS4).
Well done as well to the two Okehampton Girls team.
The May 2015 Half Term Holiday Programme is now BEING PREPARED and will be available to download shortly. Once it is available it will be sent out through all the local primary schools and Okehampton College. Please complete the form and return to OCRA with payment to book places for your child.

The OCRA Summer Holiday Programme is wide and varied.It offers children and young people as many opportunities as possible to join OCRA over the summer. Programme and Newsletter available end of June 2015.
To give you a flavour of what to come these are some of the activities we ran in the summer of 2014.
Sport and Art Days – a fun packed day where children can come and choose from a wide and varied range of sport activities and art. These days are 10am -3pm and on the following dates –
Tuesday 29th July, Thursday 31st July, Tuesday 5th August, Thursday 7th August, Tuesday 12th August – NO SPORT & ART DAY ON THURSDAY 14th August – come and see us at Okehampton Show, Tuesday 19th August and finally Thursday 21st August.

Situated in an ideal location between the All-Weather Pitch, tennis courts and cricket pitch, The Pavilion in the Park is now open. Come along throughout the week and at weekends to enjoy delicious meals and snacks, hot and cold drinks and ice-creams.
The Pavilion in the Park is a beautiful modern building, designed and project managed by Oxenham Consult that offers the community, families and individuals a wide range of services including Sports, Arts, Music, Training and Educational courses, Disability Activities, Drama, Dance, Therapies, Pilates and Yoga studio.
The Devon Games to Inspire is a festival styled sporting extravaganza aimed at children aged 8-18. It brings together participants from across Devon to compete against each other and win points for their region. Each region must hold an open trial for each sport, as well as supply the team with training, encouraging them to bond and have fun before representing their area at the games. The whole process, through the trial, training sessions and transport to the games is entirely FREE to the participants.

OCRA ACTION CLUB IS BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND in Chagford, Hatherleigh, Bridestowe, South Tawton, Boasley Cross, Northlew, Exbourne, Lewdown, Okehampton, North Tawton & Lydford.
The OCRA Action Club is an exciting after school club which invites children and young people to come along join in the fun and free play for two hours. The club offers children and young people the equipment and space to create their own free play and free choice of activities for the two hours.
OCRA will bring a wide range of sporting equipment, a varied range of art materials for children/young people to create their own masterpieces, sport specific coaches, for example fencing & archery, den/tent building tarpaulin, multiskills equipment and where possible we will bring bushcraft skills into your village setting. OCRA Action Club will use the play spaces/parks and/or your local Primary School grounds.
Please come along and join in when you have finished school or when you get off your buses – we would love to see you there. OCRA Action Club is open to all children and young people even if you do not attend the school in the village location you have chosen.
For Primary aged children, registration forms are available at your local participating Primary School or direct from OCRA.
SNAP is a new social club for children and young adults with special needs.
Being hosted in the brand new Pavilion in the Park, the club will offer a fantastic opportunity to try lots of fun activities, socialise and make new friends.
