OCRA is looking to recruit a volunteer clerk to assist in the administration of the charity.
Okehampton Community Recreation Association is a charity that provides sport, art and cultural opportunities for the local community. Over time it has grown, becoming well known for its Sport and Art days which provide an affordable child care option and exciting activities for young people during the school holidays, as well as the multitude of other activities for all ages, work in primary schools, sports development and the hire and management of the sports facilities based in and around Okehampton College. In 2014 the Pavilion in the Park was opened as a central hub for OCRA’s activities in the community, providing a modern “club house” for local teams and individuals using the facilities.
The Trustees Board, oversees the strategic direction of the Charity, delegating daily tasks to the management team. In order to allow full participation of the management team during meetings a Clerk is required to record the business and decisions of the meetings going forward. The monthly meetings tend to be during the working day and quarterly meetings in the early evening. Some flexibility will be required but advance notice is always given.
Role description
